Your Consultant
Meet Kiranmaye Cartier
At the heart of The Ayur Chikitsa is Kiranmaye Cartier, an AAPUK-registered Ayurvedic Diet and Lifestyle Consultant and Massage Therapist, qualified and certified in Ayurvedic diet, lifestyle and nutrition consultation and in Ayurvedic massage therapy.
Ayurveda is not something Kiranmaye Cartier encountered only through formal study. She was born into a family in which Ayurvedic wisdom, traditional foods, herbs, seasonal routines and natural self-care formed part of everyday life.
This lived experience, combined with professional training, enables her to offer a warm and grounded approach that honours traditional knowledge while recognising the demands of contemporary life.
Her professional background as a senior AI and programme director also gives her a strong understanding of modern working environments, leadership pressure, demanding careers and competing responsibilities and the challenge of maintaining healthy routines in a busy life.

Our Philosophy
Our Approach
Our approach is rooted in authentic Ayurvedic principles while thoughtfully adapted to the realities of modern life. We recognise that every person has a unique constitution, lifestyle, environment and set of wellbeing needs. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution, we take time to understand you as an individual and create practical guidance that can be followed in everyday life.

The Science of Life
Ayurveda
Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest holistic wellbeing traditions. Its name comes from the Sanskrit words Ayus, meaning life, and Veda, meaning knowledge or science. More than a system of therapies, Ayurveda is a way of understanding the relationship between the body, mind, senses, lifestyle and the natural world.

Vata
Movement and communication

Pitta
Transformation and metabolism

Kapha
Stability, nourishment and structure
When these energies become disturbed by stress, diet, lifestyle, the seasons or life changes, we may begin to feel out of balance. Ayurvedic consultations and therapies aim to support greater awareness, healthier routines and a more harmonious way of living. The emphasis is not simply on responding when we feel unwell, but on creating sustainable habits that help protect and nurture long-term wellbeing.
What We Focus On
Supporting the Whole Person
Many people come to The Ayur Chikitsa because they feel tired, stressed, disconnected from themselves or unsure how to create healthier routines.

Gut and Digestive Wellbeing
Supporting regular meals, mindful eating, appropriate food choices and healthy digestive routines.

Daily Routines and Sustainable Self-Care
Encouraging sustainable habits around nourishment, movement and daily energy.

Rest and Relaxation
Creating space for rest, relaxation, breathwork, meditation and emotional balance.

Evening Routines and Rest
Supporting calming evening routines, reduced overstimulation and a healthier relationship with rest.
We do not believe wellbeing is created through quick fixes. It develops through consistent nourishment, self-awareness, supportive routines and compassionate care.
